ABOUT OUR LAW FIRM

Our law firm provides legal services especially in the areas of criminal, civil and business law but also in other fields, such as family, labor, administrative, bankruptcy (insolvency) or construction law. In addition to general legal agenda, we specialize in debt collection for both legal entities and individuals, real estate transfers and corporate matters. Our portfolio includes also collection of damages including car accidents, occupational accidents and healthcare-related claims. We also procure all related translations, tax and bookkeeping services.

We collaborate, on a permanent basis, with MAREK & STANOVSKÝ v.o.s. law firm, as well as with attorneys Mgr. Michal Víšek and Mgr. Klára Stibůrková from Benešov. When providing legal services, we follow all duties deriving from laws and regulations governing legal practice in the Czech Republic as issued by the Czech Bar Association, as well as the Charter of Core Principles of the European Legal Profession issued by the Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe (CCBE).

Mgr. Vilém Vrána, attorney at law and founder of our law firm, obtained his Master’s degree by completing a Master’s program at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen. He was admitted to the Bar in 2016. During 2017, he was active as an attorney in Brož & Sokol & Novák s.r.o. From 2018, he has been a freelance attorney free from collaboration with any other entities as per Section 15e of Act no. 85/1996 Coll., of the Act on the Legal Profession. Mgr. Vilém Vrána focuses especially on criminal, business and civil law (including family matters), real estate law, as well as general law of contracts. 

FEE

The fee charged by an attorney is always determined according to the nature and difficulty of each case. In general, following options are available:

  • fee per act of legal service as per Decree no. 177/1996 Coll., on lawyer tariff (according to the Decree, an “act” of legal service includes things such as accepting and preparing a case, drafting a petition, representation in court, drafting an appeal, additional meeting with a client, meeting with the other party etc.)
  • hourly fee based upon structured or uniform hourly rate
  • capped hourly rate limited by a final amount
  • fixed fee, either lump-sum or periodical, usually on a monthly basis
  • contingency fee – normally percentage of the damages actually collected
